Top Five Posts of 2012

Many of you would know that this has been my first year blogging religiously and I really have enjoyed it. Each post I write with my heart and choosing my five favourite for the year is like choosing my favourite child. Please stay tuned for next year as I promise bigger and better things will come from this blog. Anyway, with much further ado, here are my favourite posts of this year:

Not only was this my first  ever Style Star post, it meant a lot to me as Demi Lovato is one of my inspirations both fashionably and personally. I wrote this just after I had watched her documentary and the amount of respect I had for her had increased dramatically. Easily my favourite post ever.

This has been by far the most viewed post of mine this year and that makes me really happy that I can get so many views for an event only big in Australia. My dream job is to actually be a red carpet reporter in Australia and if I manage to land the job of reporting on this event, I know that I would be doing well in a field I love.

I started to get a girl crush on all the girls from Spring Breakers as at every event they managed to ooze confidence and major style credibility. The cast fashion choices showed a more mature side of teen icons Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens and I loved writing this piece so much as I would get so excited just flicking through photos of the cast at the events.

Trend Watch is always one of my favourite pieces to write as I get to explore the latest trends that are spotted on the runway and celebrities and then I get to spend a mass amount of time researching buys which is code for online shopping. I loved this Trend Watch piece in particular as I am obsessed with anything floral and half of my wardrobe is covered in this timeless print.

This year I felt as though a lot of red carpet events were missing that extra bit of spark in the form of fashion. A lot of stars would either play it too safe or would take too big of a fashion risk which was just asking for them to be on the worst dressed list. This year's Emmys was one of the only events that I truly believed that celebrities brought their A game in the fashion sense and that is why this is one of my favourite pieces of the year.
